Shire House – Co working space, Lichfield Staffs.

We Were recently tasked with delivering a complete access control solution at Shire House, a modern co-working space located in the heart of Lichfield, Staffordshire. Working alongside their trusted IT partner, Access Computers Ltd, Preece Burford provided a system that not only meets the security requirements of the client but also integrates seamlessly with their operational processes.

Intelligent Access Control Tailored to Shire House

Shire House required an access system that could handle flexible bookings and real-time control, aligning with their Nexudus client booking software. Following a detailed assessment, Preece Burford recommended Salto KS cloud-based access technology. For the existing glass doors, Salto Neo euro cylinders were installed, seamlessly fitting into the current patch fittings without altering the building’s appearance. Timber doors were equipped with Salto XS4 Mini lever sets, offering a discreet solution suited to the character of the space.

Customers now book their office space online, receiving instant access rights via the Salto KS app on their mobile phones. This allows them to enter the building and their designated office precisely when needed, with no need for keys or manual check-in.

Supporting Flexible Working and Efficient Management

The new system has transformed the way Shire House operates. Clients benefit from an uncomplicated, self-managed entry process, while the building owners have complete oversight, with the ability to adjust access permissions instantly and monitor usage in real time. This has streamlined operations, reduced administrative demands, and strengthened security across the site.

By delivering a solution that respects both the architectural features and the practical needs of a busy co-working hub, Preece Burford has helped Shire House create an inviting, well-managed space for modern professionals in the heart of Staffordshire.
